The Fairy's Mistake is about twin sisters, Rosella and Myrtle. When Rosella helps a fairy in disguise, she is rewarded for her goodness. After every word she says, jewels come out of her mouth. Myrtle finds this out and is later punished for her rudeness. Toads, snakes, bugs, etc. start coming out of Myrtle's mouth when she talks. But the punishment ends up being better than the reward! This is a good book because it is funny and unexpected things happen. I think other kids will like it because of the humor and it has no moral whatsoever! Reviewed by Princess Toenails - age 11 |

Jacob Lansa's dad is in Kenya and Jacob goes there to find him. He gets captured by poachers and almost dies of dehydration. The story happens in Africa and has lots of animals in it. The animals are really cool. Reviewed by Dude Man - Age 9 |

Bubba the Cowboy Prince - A Fractured Texas Tale
by Helen Ketteman, illustrated by James Warhola
|
Bubba the Cowboy Prince is about this cowboy named Bubba who wants to go to a cowboy ball. He gets to go to the ball because this cow says, "I'm your fairy Godcow" and dresses Bubba up in handsome clothes. Bubba's Godcow turns a cow into a horse. It looks funny when the cow is turned halfway into a horse. The book has funny pictures, like when the magic goes out and Bubba's hair sticks up and he gets all dirty and his face turns red. It was kind of like Cinderella because Cinderella lost her slipper and Bubba lost his boot. Also, his mean step-brothers and step-dad get mad because the girl gets to marry Bubba. You should read this book because it has funny pictures and in some of the parts the pictures are pretty. Reviewed by Peach - Age 6 |
Even though the reviewers' names are fictitious, they are real live book hungry children.
