How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight

The Mystery of the Haunted Mine

by Gordon D. Shirreffs

Teenagers, Tuck and Gary, are convinced there is a fortune hidden in the Espectros Mountains. Everyone who has gone looking for it has been killed, but they still want to look for it. With the help of an old chart, Gary's great grandfather made, they set out. But someone is following them...

This book scared me out of my skin. It had really good suspense and is fun to read. Just don't read it at night.

Summer of the Monkeys

by Wilson Rawls

One day a boy named Jay Berry Lee goes into the river bottoms to look for his dad's cow. While he's down there he finds a lot of monkeys. He tells his grandpa and they try to catch them, but the monkeys are always outsmarting them. One of my favorite parts was when Jay Berry goes to the river bottoms and the monkeys give him some sour mash and he gets drunk and falls asleep. While he's asleep, they steal his britches. I think it's funny how they're always outsmarting him.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

by J.K. Rowling

There's this kid who doesn't know that his parents are wizards and when he finds out that his parents are wizards, he goes to Hogwarts and he tries to find the sorcerer's stone. My favorite part is when Harry gets the snitch in five minutes and gets 150 points. I also like it when Harry goes into the forest. It was cool when Harry played Wizard chess. When he told a chess piece to do something, it would do it. I liked the book a lot..

How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight

by Jane Yolen and illustrated by Mark Teague

When the dinosaurs won't go to sleep they mess everything up in their bedroom. I laughed when a dinosaur stomped its feet and another one threw its teddy bear. On the last page the dinosaurs go to sleep and don't do all that other stuff any more.
