Fourteen year old Zazoo has lived with her Grand-Pierre ever since he adopted her from Vietnam and took her to France. Her whole life revolves around him and the river on which they live, swim, boat and write poems. But lately, Grand-Pierre is changed. He
forgets to do simple things, and often does not know what is going on around him. To make matters worse, Zazoo is discovering many things she did not want to know about Grand-Pierre's past, and her past.
I loved this book. It had beautiful, lyrical writing that was almost poetry. It was thought-provoking, and had some good humor. It was very sad as well. I really sympathized with Zazoo's confusion and her longing to grow up. It was a great
book. Reviewed

Langrish Peer Ulfsson was a farm boy living happily with his father. Until his father died that is. With the sudden death of his father, his uncles, Grim and Baldur Grimsson the millers, came to claim him. They immediately begin to put Peer hard at work cleaning the house, operating the mill, and everything else that needed to be done. He soon uncovers a plot by his uncles that could result with him being sold into slavery to the dreaded trolls. This amazing book takes fantasy as well as some Viking history. Combinations of suspense, mystery and sudden plot twists form an obvious choice for
reading. Reviewed

Elizabeth George Speare Are you looking for a Historical Fiction book? Even if you’re not you should read it! But I must warn you, it’s a little boring at the beginning, but it’s way better in the middle and the end. (Even though it can be boring, read the beginning anyway or else you won’t get what’s going on in the book.) How would you feel if your friend was accused of being a witch? It wouldn’t be very good. Usually when your accused of being a witch you usually either get put in the stocks, marked like a donkey and banished, or even hung! How would you feel if you were accused of being a witch? It would be pretty scary! Well, both of those things happen to Kit (the main character). Read this book to find how Kit survives all of these
things. Reviewed

Jon Scieska and illustrated by Adam McCauley There were these three boys and they had a
book that transports you to places. This time they got transported to
Black Beards. The three boys were going to walk the plank, but then one
of the boys tricked Black Beard so then they didn't need to walk the
plank anymore It was funny. Reviewed
