Lemony
Snicket: The Unauthorized Autobiography by
Lemony Snicket
Who is Lemony Snicket? Why is he on the run? Who is the mysterious Beatrice that he dedicates every one of his books to? And, most enigmatic-a word which here means "mysterious"-of all, what is V.F.D.? These and many other questions are asked but not entirely answered in this extremely confusing and rather dangerous autobiography of Lemony Snicket, the author of The Series of Unfortunate Events. Find out some, but not nearly enough, information about the fascinating and fictional man behind the Baudelaire files. Reviewed

Horowitz After Matt’s parents died in a car accident, everything started going wrong for him. He started missing school and breaking the law. On one occasion he and his friend Kelvin got caught trying to steal DVD’s from a warehouse. As punishment he had the choice of going to jail, or being part of a new program called LEAF, in which he would go and live with someone else who would try to help them improve. He chose the second and was sent to live with an old lady in a town called Lesser Malling where he discovers a deadly plot by the locals to release an ancient horror upon the world. In an amazing book about five kids who are destined to save the world, the fantasy of ancient witchcraft is combined with the modern day horrors of nuclear power. Full of original ideas and ancient myths, this is a book that readers of all ages will enjoy.

Gloria Whelan Rachel lives in Africa with her parents.
Both of her parents are doctors, but her mother is also a teacher. She
has a great time in Africa until influenza (a sickness) spreads through
Nairobi (The city she lives in). Influenza is a very deadly disease.
Then her mother caught influenza and died. Her father caught it awhile
later and died too. Then the Pritchards (a very rich family) came and
told her she must go to England in place of Valerie, their child who
died. Reviewed

Warning: This book is extremely dangerous. Not only will others be jealous of its "read the chapters in any order" format and sardonically funny content and thus will try to attack you to gain possession of it, you may find yourself being followed by Count Olaf's henchmen who seek the information within it.
