The
True Confession of Charlotte Doyle by
Avi
Charlotte Doyle is a
completely ordinary girl when she boards the Seahawk. She is prim and
proper from her full skirts to her orderly manner. But while she is on
the Seahawk many changes take place. She witnesses a mutiny, a
hurricane, and a murder. The Charlotte Doyle at the end of the book is
almost a completely different person than the one at the beginning. This book was really fun to
read. You feel so happy at times, but sad at other times as you watch
Charlotte discover who she really is inside. I would recommend it to
anyone. Reviewed

Brooks Wallace A girl named Emily's mom and dad die so she
has to go live with aunt and uncle at Sugar Hill Hall. It used to be a
nice place, but now an evil lady named Mrs. Meechings has turned it into
an evil place while Emily's aunt is a prisoner there. Now Emily must
somehow save Sugar Hill Hall, her aunt, and other from Mrs. Meechings. One of my favorite parts was when Emily met
a boy named Kipper and they soon became friends. It made me sad that
Emily had a friend at Sugar Hill Hall. This book is so good I couldn't
put it down. Reviewed

Jon Scieska and illustrated by Adam McCauley The Time Warp Trio guys warp into Viking
time. First the Vikings don't like them, then they do later in the book.
When they find the magic book it was a stone that said "Fred, Sam,
and Joe were here." When they were captured by a bad guy it was
cool how they escaped. This book is cool, funny, and awesome. Reviewed

Walton and illustrated by Paige Miglio The bunnies go a trip that is like an
adventure. They went on a tractor, train, plane, and boat. It made me
want to go on a trip too. It was like a rhyming book. I like rhyming
books. When you turn the page you can guess what the bunnies go on next.
Some of the rhymes are funny. Reviewed
